When and where is Artival?
Artival will take place on Sunday July 13th, between 12 noon and 5pm at Rockfield House, Kells, Co. Meath, A82 V9D5. Doors will open at 11.30 so you can book into your workshops early.

Will there be food available?
Yes we will have a delightful collection of food trucks to choose from on the day but you are welcome to bring your own picnic if you wish.

What should I bring with me?
Bring a yoga mat if you have one (we will have some available on the day), wear comfortable clothes and dress for the weather (no such thing as bad weather, just unsuitable clothes!) We will have a book swap reading nook too, if you’d like to bring a book or two to swap.

Is the event indoors?
Almost all the activities and classes will take place inside in the rooms and outbuildings around Rockfield.

What age is Artival suitable for?
Really it is suitable for absolutely any age – as Ailish who came last year said “Three generations, Nanny, Mammy, daughter and son all had a fun-filled day, each exploring arts, crafts, creativity and play to suit their interests. Something here for everyone in the beautiful surrounds of the Rockfield Estate.”

Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Almost all events are at ground level except when the house tours go upstairs. Two of the art activities will be upstairs too. Some of the pathways are gravelled and one of the courtyards is cobblestoned which are a bit bumpy but if you need any help, just let us know.

Is Artival dog-friendly?
Yes – doggies on leads are very welcome to come and enjoy the fun.

Is there parking?
There’s plenty of free parking at Rockfield.

Do I need to book for workshops, talks or classes?
Most events will be drop-in and you can join in on the day. Others, with smaller capacity, will need to be booked. Please arrive early if there is something particular you want to go to.
We cannot guarantee access to all activities but we will make sure there is lots of variety for everyone to participate in.

How do I book for the optional paid classes?
There will be a desk in the middle courtyard where people can book classes – it will be well marked on the day.
